Each year the Illinois PTA honors one administrator from the State of Illinois as the Outstanding Administrator of the Year. Applications will be accepted from local units in good standing from all over the State of Illinois.
The Outstanding Administrator of the Year will be introduced at the annual Illinois PTA Convention by the Illinois PTA State Vice President of Program Services. The Outstanding Administrator of the Year will be recognized in the Illinois PTA Weekend Update and Illinois PTA social media for selection as Illinois PTA Outstanding Administrator of the Year.
Completed applications received by the due date will be considered by a committee of professionals. Once the decision is made the local unit submitting the application will be notified of the selection.
The submitting PTA will receive information on the time and location of the awards ceremony at the annual Illinois PTA Convention and is responsible for informing the award recipient of details. He or she is welcome to invite friends and family to attend the awards ceremony, but if they wish to attend convention they must go through the prescribed registration process.
Eligibility
- Each local PTA/PTSA unit in “Good Standing” may nominate one individual.
- Nominee must be currently employed as an administrator in any preschool through senior high school.
- Nominee must be a current member of the Illinois PTA; Proof of membership will need to be submitted when requested.
- Current members of the Illinois PTA State Board of Directors are not eligible for nomination
*If nominee is selected, a bio and photo will need to be submitted which will be included in the Convention Program Book, Weekend Update and on Social Media.
