Jane's Walk Windsor-Essex 2024 Volunteer Marshal Sign-up
Jane’s Walk is a festival of free neighbourhood walking tours given by locals who care passionately about where they live, work and play. It's a pedestrian-focused event that improves urban literacy by offering insights into local history, planning, design, and civic engagement through the simple act of walking and observing.

Windsor-Essex Jane's Walk Festival is two weekends for 2024: Essex County weekend (Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28) and Windsor-Tecumseh weekend (Friday, May 6 to Sunday, May 8).  The schedule is available at https://www.windsorjaneswalk.ca/

We're looking for volunteer marshals to help manage walking groups and record the walks.

Marshalling
Tasks: Hold up flags to identify the walk location, introduce tour leaders, maintain road/sidewalk safety, take a head count of attendees at your walk, take photos or collect emails of those taking photos, and assist tour leaders. We will provide you with a package with all the information you'll need in order to be a marshal.

Recording the Walks:
Task: Record the walk on your own personal phone or camera. After the walk, upload the file to a designated drop box and it will then be posted on the Windsor-Essex Jane's Walk website and social media.
