At Sinfonia Borealis, we are always looking to expand our numbers and accept new talented musicians into our ranks, regardless of their background. We are looking for committed, passionate and gifted individuals to join our orchestra, whether they are currently studying at conservatoire, playing in a top youth orchestra, performing semi-professionally or doing something else entirely. So long as you are an able instrumentalist and aspire to go on to a professional career as an orchestral instrumentalist, we want to hear from you!

Our Principal positions are currently allocated, however we welcome applications for any tutti position, whether that be woodwind, brass, percussion or strings.

The application consists of four main sections:
1. Basic info
2. Experience (inc. education)
3. Your aims and objectives
4. Video of your playing

You are required to submit a short video extract of your playing (c. 5 minutes) for this application. This is so we can get an idea of how experienced you are and how well you would fit in to our organisation. The video should be indicative of your ability, and should be taken from a piece that you are comfortable and familiar with.
