South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame 

The South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association established its Hall of Fame in the fall of 2008.   New candidates will be inducted each year at the state tournament. A permanent plaque honoring all Hall of Fame inductees will be displayed at the Volleyball Hall of Fame at SDSU in Brookings.

Galen Busch, Ruth Rehn, Kathy Hunt, Connie Nyhaug, Karen Bossman, Cindy Nelson, Kathy Graves, Donna Schmitz, Ron Nelson, Jill Christensen, Deb Thill, Don Decker, Cathy Grubb, Terry List, Erika Paladino-Hazlett, Anita Boeck, Pam (Johnson) Murra- Posthumously, Mike West, Rocky Brinkman, Linda DeBoer, Shelly Buddenhagen, Nora Groft

Criteria (two required) for Potential Candidates

* Must have been coaching high school volleyball for a minimum of 15 years in South Dakota.
* Must be a current or former member of the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association.
* Must have made a significant contribution to the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association.
* Must have made contributions to volleyball outside the regular season.
* Must have been active in the growth and development of volleyball in South Dakota.
* Must have demonstrated leadership and commitment to the sport of volleyball.
If two of the above criteria do not apply, selection is at the discretion of the selection committee.

Nominating Process
You do not have to be a SDVBCA member to nominate an individual for the Hall of Fame.  The nomination will be good for a three year period of time.  Nominations should be sent to the SDVBCA president.  The Hall of Fame Committee will make the final decision on inductees.
