Self Help Clinic Board Positions 2022-2023
Please review the descriptions for positions below and select ALL positions you are interested in applying for. Selections are due Sunday, March 13, 2022. Voting will take place from March 14-March 18, and the new board will be announced on Saturday, March 19.

Executive Director
The Executive Director oversees the clinic at a high-level and is responsible for clinic operations and managing the board of directors. Duties include but are not limited to: recruiting and scheduling attorney volunteers; coordinating with attorney volunteers weekly; scheduling rooms; creating an annual SBA budget; scheduling and coordinating volunteer orientation/training; running the “front desk” at the weekly clinics; overseeing all other board positions.

Assistant Executive Director (Associate Director)
The Assistant Executive Director supports the Executive Director by assisting with tasks and monitoring clinic resources and supplies. Duties include but are not limited to: monitoring clinic supply levels; ordering new supplies; setting up printing accounts; scheduling meals for training and weekly breakfast; scheduling student volunteers; running elections in the spring; assisting other positions as needed.

Communications Director
The Communications Director works behind the scenes to schedule client appointments and assist with client intake. Duties include but are not limited to: monitoring and responding to voicemails and emails from clients and various other legal resources requesting legal information/assistance; updating voicemail messages and automatic email replies to include current information and clinic dates; scheduling client appointments; confirming appointments and sending clients reminder emails/phone calls before their appointments.

Family Law & Criminal Expungement Directors
The two Clinic Directors are in charge of their respective clinics and oversees clients, students, and attorney volunteers. Duties include but are not limited to: oversee clinic volunteers by taking attendance, assigning students to clients, helping volunteer attorneys manage their time between multiple clients; ensure all volunteers are following clinic protocols, supplement and provide training when necessary; review forms in file, printing and downloading newer versions if necessary; selecting the proper forms for clients; answering any questions.

Marketing Director
The Marketing Director is in charge of marketing to potential clients and potential volunteer attorneys. Duties include but are not limited to: posting on The Docket and social media; creating clinic flyers; communicating with local libraries and non-profits about our services; recruiting potential attorney volunteers through various bar associations; create new marketing plans or strategies to reach clients.
