Carteret County Schools accepts referral to the Gifted Identification Team by parents, caregivers, teachers, students, or peers.  Please complete this form to refer to the gifted identification team.  Once complete, the form will go to student's classroom teacher and AIG Specialist to be reviewed by the building team.  A referral does not automatically result in AIG placement.  The areas that are identified in Carteret County Schools are: Intellectually Gifted (strong vocabulary, problem solving, creative thinking, piece to whole reasoning), Academic Gifted in Reading and/or Math.  A detailed eligibility criteria grid can be found on our website.
