NEASIS&T Programming Committee 2023-2024 - Call for New Members and Programming Director(s)

The Northeast Chapter of the Association for Information Science and Technology (NEASIS&T) is looking for new members and a Programming Director for the 2023-2024 Programming Committee.

The Programming Director chairs the Programming Committee and works with the committee members to plan the chapter’s annual conference (normally held in late winter/spring) and to organize 2-3 other events each year for members’ development, such as:

• Webinars

• Regional or local educational meetings

• Online/local meetups and networking

• Collaborative initiatives and events

The Programming Committee typically meets once a month (meetings may be more frequent leading up to the annual conference). The Director role can be a shared role between two co-directors. The Programming Committee Director (or Co-Director) also participates as a member of the NEASIS&T Executive Committee, which meets virtually, usually once a quarter.

Getting involved with NEASIS&T is a great way to connect with colleagues around the region who are interested in data management, privacy, and other evolving topics in information science. We welcome participation from students and early career professionals, in addition to those who have been working in the information science and technology field for a while!

If interested in serving as a Programming Committee member or Director, please fill out the form below by Monday, July 31. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please email us at neasist@gmail.com or leave a comment on the form and someone will follow up with you!
