RECares'2020

RE Cares is a co-located event at the International Conference on Requirements Engineering. During this event, a group of RE conference attendees works with local (to the conference location) stakeholder(s) to elicit requirements, design, and prototype software. This is our attempt at adding a Software for Social Good component to the RE Conference. Prior RE Cares events took place at RE 2018 (Banff, Canada) and RE 2019 (Jeju Island, Korea). In 2020, we are organizing RE Cares as well...

Following the format of RE'2020, RE Cares will be run in a hybrid mode. A small group of local organizers and in-person attendees will help organize the in-person portion of the event. The majority of RE Cares will take place on-line. At RE Cares 2020 we are working on a software tool to provide security assessment for and increase cybersecurity awareness in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) -- small businesses that do not have their own dedicated IT staff, but that do use computers and the Internet for their day-to-day operation.
