Thanks for your interest in volunteering as a Ride Guide; we could not do what we do without our amazingly generous Roamie Homie community. Ride Guiding is for those who cannot wait to contribute to Roam with their knowledge, skills and stoke. With this in mind, please only apply if your motivations are in the right place and you feel qualified, committed, and super up to crushing our MANY Ride Guide standards outlined below.
THAT SAID, applications are guaranteed to outnumber available Ride Guide positions, so thanks in advance for understanding if we cannot offer you a spot this time around.
Full disclosure: we will give priority to applicants who are available ALL THREE DAYS of the event, have been to Roam Fest before, and live in the Grand Valley.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Female/femme/non-binary applicants who are 21 years of age or older
- Applicants with a RIDICULOUS amount of stoke and an "I'm here to help" disposition
- Applicants ready to use said stoke and disposition to fuel an incredible weekend of playing bikes!
- Applicants who are excellent communicators, dependable and flexible.
- Applicants who are INTIMATELY familiar with at least one (Kokopeli, 18rd, Lunch Loops) trail system
- Applicants with basic trailside repair skills
PERKS:
- One meal per day worked (dinner on Friday, dinner on Saturday, lunch on Sunday)
- Free admission to Roam Fest!
- A free Roam Fest Guide Jersey
- ALL the hugs and high fives and "Thank you's" you can handle
COMMITMENT REQUIRED:
- A minimum of four Guided Rides (or 3 longer rides)
or
- A minimum of 3 Guided Rides and a "Ride Beta" shift (aka assisting participants as they pick the ride that is right for them; hence the "INTIMATE TRAIL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED" bit!)
- Combo of rides and ride beta shifts need to amount to about 1hours of volunteering
- Attendance at a MANDATORY (virtual) pre-Fest meeting
- Attendance and availability all day Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday of Roam Fest Fruita*
*Due to the ever-increasing number of Ride Guide applicants and our small team's limited availability, folks who CAN commit to all three days and to minimum requirements are preferred.
We understand this is not always feasible. If you CANNOT fulfill that commitment but REALLY want to volunteer anyways, please reach out to us at

We believe whole-heartedly in the importance of y'all experiencing the entire weekend of festivities, and the continuity and consistency in volunteers helps create a magical environment for our participants.
