Kindergarten Assessment - August 23rd
The staff at Antioch Elementary is very excited to have your Kindergarten student. Please select one of the times below to bring them to our school for an assessment. This is an important process as it will better help us to select the appropriate placement for the upcoming school year. Parents may choose the first session or afternoon session.  Students should arrive for the first session between 8:00am and 8:20am. Parents are invited to stay for an informational session which will begin at 8:30am and should last approximately 45 minutes. Assessments should be completed by 10:30am. Students shoud arrive for the second session between 11:00am  - 11:20am.  Parents are invited to stay for an informational session which will begin at 11:30am and should last approximately 45 minutes. Assessments should be completed by 1:30pm. Students will be assessed with basic Kindergarten readiness skills such as; letter identification, counting and social play. Parents will not receive any feedback about assessments on the day of assessment. Your child's teacher will be able to share information once the school year begins. August 29th through September 1st are staggered enrollment for Kindergarten. Your child will only attend one day during the first four days of school and no Kindergarten students will attend on Friday, September 2nd. All Kindergarten students will attend with All of their classmates for the first time on Tuesday, September 6th. Please complete a form for each child. Your child will be placed in a classroom prior to the assessment being completed if he/she is unable to attend on August 23rd. Parents will receive a phone call from your child's assigned teacher no later than Wednesday, August 24th.
