BusVic Future Workforce Agenda - Expression of Interest
What will the bus and coach industry look like in 5 years’ time, and why?
What skills do we need to start developing today for tomorrow? How do we do it? Where do we start?
What are the barriers to building the future workforce and how might they be overcome?
A BusVic project invites you to share your view on these questions and participate in shaping the industry’s future workforce. As part of the Bus Industry Innovation Fund, Transitioning Well is partnering with the Bus Association Victoria to deliver the ‘Workforce agenda for the future of Victoria’s Bus and Coach Industry’ project.
The industry continually grapples with complex regulatory, technological, social, operational, and workforce issues. Central to successfully addressing these issues, and progressing and sustaining a flourishing industry, is future workforce planning.
This project will deliver a 5-year workforce agenda for the Victorian bus and coach industry. It will provide evidence-based recommendations to operators on skills needed in the future for key roles (and why we need them) and practical advice and case studies on how to build workforce capability.
The report will be presented to the Bus Association Victoria in June 2022.
We invite you and members of your team to participate in the research activities for this project in an interactive focus group, one-on-one interview, and through the online survey. Please indicate your preferences in the form below.
