SQUARE TECH INTRO TO TECH SUMMER 2022
Square Tech Training Program Is a Training Program with a paid internship that recruits High School youth between ages of 14 – 19. This tech-based youth training program engineers a foundation of learning and developing skills through a series of technology and business-based training workshops.

Our young training interns are learning skills to become successful in the technology field while building lasting friendships with their peers and adults. Training interns are learning the necessary skills to become successful, thriving members of society.

This is a hybrid, educational internship where interns will develop skills through a series of technology and business based training workshops.  Interns will receive a training stipend.

                                                                             Summer 2022 Internship Dates:
This is a hybrid internship 3-4 days a week will be in-person and 1-2 days a week will be virtual depending on your workshops.
                                                      7/6/2022 - 8/12/2022, Monday-Friday 11:30 am -4:30 pm
                                                                    This is a 6 week Summer Internship
Interns can choose 3 – 4 workshops they would like to take based on their interests and will participate in hands-on and check-in's.

Workshops this Summer:

* Mbot- build a robot from scratch and experience the joys of hands-on creation. learn about robotic machinery and electronic parts and learn the fundamentals of block-based programming.

* Makey Makey- Interns will connect "everyday" objects to computer programs using a circuit board to loop electrical signals. Learn how to use scratch to program the tool, create codes to run interactive games.

* Intro to PC- introduction to the computer hardware world where specific knowledge and skills are required to help meet entry-level qualifications. Understanding how a computer works inside and out will provide students a basis in which they can rely on to perform professionally.

Summer Advance Workshop:
* Intro to Gaming PC- This class is for returning interns/new interns who have knowledge of PC Hardware. You will learn how to plan and build a gaming computer from scratch from a given budget. When interns learn how to build gaming computers, they will not only stretch their money further and get the fastest performance for their budget.

Possible workshop this summer:

* Intro to Computer Science- Interns will understand a way to develop a program by learning to code with Java, data structures, error correcting how a script is constructed and other fun activities.

Interns will:
Earn a stipend while learning new technical skills, Undergo workshops and hands-on training that covers the fundamental knowledge and concepts of jobs in the entry-level IT fields, * Explore how Makey Makey circuit boards works, the concept and hands on to build a computer, concept and hands on to build an Mbot and create codes with Scratch, Intro to basics of Word, Build their workforce skills, and gain experience in technology.
