Description: Want to learn one of the most widely spoken languages in the world? Over 1.3 billion people speak Mandarin, Chinese! This class is meant for novice Chinese learners. Students will learn how to speak, read, and write Chinese on a basic level. Students will use the Ni Hao Chinese Curriculum, that is used in many private and public Middle schools across the United States teaching Chinese as a second language. In class, we will focus on using practical everyday Chinese vocabulary and the small class sizes will be conducive to practice conversational Chinese.

Required Materials: Textbook (approx. $25) and print outs, 8" x 11" (small) whiteboard and expo marker
