Thank you so much for considering mentoring another Washington, DC-area theatre practitioner! We are excited to learn more about what attracted you to this program and hear more about who you are. Your information will be saved in a database and used when matching program participants to their mentors.
Because of the program's very specific match-making process, it may be that not all mentors who fill out this form will be matched with mentees for the upcoming session.
This round of mentoring will begin May 6th, 2024 and end August 23rd, 2024.
This program fosters a 1-1 relationship between a mentee and a mentor. Alissa Klusky, the Program Administrator, will be checking in throughout the program to offer support as needed. Both the mentee and the mentor are responsible for co-creating a vision for their time together, setting up meetings, and building what the relationship looks like based off individual needs. Our program includes at least four 1-1 meetings with your mentee - approximately one per month.
They may include:
- Discussing the DC-area theatre landscape
- Asking questions and receiving advice
- Seeing and discussing a production or reading
- Shadowing a mentor
If selected, each mentor will have a short conversation with Alissa to discuss their potential mentee before being matched. Mentee interviews and cohort selection will occur at the end of March, and you will be contacted in the month of April during the matching process.
