Mdex is a learning accelerator that has the sole purpose of leveling up talent by working on real problems working with a real team. The goal is to grow US domestic talent and reduce the skills and resource gap for technology professions that currently exist in the US. There is no cost for this program and all chosen applicants go on a mission to build a production quality product in 90 days.
For the Summer of we are selecting 14-18 engineers to join one of the following missions.
1. Builder: Server Blocks will focus on taking the work done in the Last cohort and build the server components to use for central build and reporting features. This project is written in GO and requires an open mind to learn about many different programming languages, build tools, build automation, build artifacts, git, etc the project can be found here

Cloud Accelerator is a team based building and learning approach to be immersed in AWS/Google services like compute, storage, database, networking, security, monitoring, automation, optimization, microservice applications and containers, building for resilience, and understanding costs. Using hands-on solutions, you will work with real world problems leveraging Infrastructure as code (IaC) and deployment automation to provision entire stacks with limited to no manual intervention.
3. OpenRentals: Open rentals is a simple clone of AirBnB and VRBO(Expedia) that focuses on the Vacation rental suppliers and consumers. The current solutions have placed fees and their networks over the consumers and suppliers and we are at a point where only AirBnB and VRBO(Expedia) are serving their own interests.

Client booking & Supplier calendar availability and pricing.
Search and filter properties (Booking engine)
Google Place API for information about surrounding areas
Facebook Integration option. Transfers core information quickly such as name, surname, photo, etc.
Zillow API; integrate Zillows real estate property listing into your own application or use neighborhood
information. Important to pair with other tools for application development since the api doesn’t provide advantage.
Map Box Google APIs to create custom maps to provide users information about districts.
Spatial Neighborhood APIs to get demographic information about districts
Firebase Database to store all data at internet scale:
Bookings,
Property ID, Property type & description
Pricing: Daily, weekly, monthly & seasonal
Calendar: Availability schedule, black out specials
