For the 3nd year, the PEO Lambton Chapter has partnered with the City of Sarnia to provide local high school students with an opportunity to complete a real "project" to improve the lives of our residents.
This challenge will take place from February (Kick-off Meeting) to May (Final Presentations) with approx. 1 meeting per month with all teams present to share information and track progress (your attendance is not mandatory but student attendance is so this is a great time to connect with your team).
As a volunteer, you will be matched to one student team to help guide them and answer questions along the way (and share information about what it means to be an engineer). It will be up to you and your team if you want to meet outside of the monthly meetings, or if you want to stay in touch through text, email, etc.
The 2023 challenge will NOT be a based on accessiblity as in previous years, but rather will provide students with a short list of challenges that they can select to solve. There are opportunities for groups who want to explore digital solutions, environmental initiatives or marketing/project management.
No experience necessary!
