In Jesse's word: "I am a maker of textiles in many forms. I avidly sew, crochet, punch needle, and have now added rug tufting to the roster. My interest in textiles is ever in process. And really, the process is my favourite part. I love learning how textiles are made, the histories behind the craft, and the social and political contexts in which craft movements began. I use my grandmothers’ tools, marvel at how they carved out time to constantly create with five children each, and learn about their sewing tips and tricks from family members.
