Certification Pre-Assessment
The Certification curriculum is a rigorous, training program for agencies aiming to turn staff members into true AWARDS experts.  These experts can then provide invaluable support to all AWARDS users within the agency. This pre-assessment lets us get to know you and your goals within your own AWARDS Administration a little better.  The scenario questions are open book and you may use AWARDS online help.  We do ask that you try to avoid asking another AWARDS user.  After you submit your pre-assessment, a Foothold Staff will review your responses and if you are accepted, you will receive an invitation to formally sign-up.  Good luck! and we are excited to see you in our 2021 class.

What’s Your Goal?                                                                                The AWARDS Certification program provides participants with the opportunity to complete a project within AWARDS.  This could be anything from implementing Plans and Reviews to moving over to the newer AWARDS E-signature functionality within Progress Notes to a full re-implementation of your AWARDS Implementation.                                                                                                             Make sure to include the following:                                                             A. Benefit (what is the short-term and long-term benefit of making this change)                                                                                          B. Resources (from your agency and/or Foothold)                                      C. Potential Barriers                                                                                           D. Key stakeholders
If you are enrolled in Configuration and Administrative Services (with Erin) you don’t have to complete this question
Scenario One: A user writes to the help desk and says “Oh no! I entered the wrong admission date.  They were admitted the week before.” This is a residential program that uses the Household Functionality within AWARDS.  Outline the steps you would take to help this user. *
Scenario Two: A funder releases a new set of outcome measures.  You review them and discover several of the new outcomes that are not captured in AWARDS.  Describe how you would implement the data collection workflow to support seamless reporting for these new measures. *
Scenario Three: You need to run a report on data collected in a form placed on the services module.  Where do you run this report and what could you do if you need to pair this data with other data in the services module i.e. progress notes? *
Scenario Four: The intake/admission functionality in AWARDS is robust.  Agencies can use a combination of single-step or multi-step, central intake, and waiting list functionality.   *
A. Describe why an agency would utilize the following structure for intake/admission: Multi-step + WL
B. Multi-step + Central Intake + WL                               *
C. Central Intake + Single Step or Multi-Step                         *
D. All intake/admission functionality can support FormBuilder forms.  Describe how FormBuilder forms can support a single or multi-step admission process. *
Scenario Five: Your users are consistently entering due, done, and effective dates incorrectly or not at all within Plans and Reviews.  How would you explain the purpose of these dates in a way that your users will understand? *
