NSBP-HGS Mentor  Application
We are excited that you are interested joining us for the 2021-2022 NSBP-HGS Mentoring Program. The program will run from September 2021 through June 2022. The NSBP-HGS Mentoring Program is directed at increasing educational resources in physics and mathematics available to middle and high school students in Harlem, Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx. The NSBP-HGS Mentoring Program comprises three main development components:small-group mentoring, mentoring circles, and monthly cohort virtual events.

The program objectives include creating meaningful, sustained, academic-focused relationships, increase student awareness and interest of STEM and engender a community/family environment.

Each week, groups will meet for a minimum fo 30 minutes to to develop personal and academic goals for the year-long period of the program. As well, there will be 4 cohort events each semester. These are monthly, all-hands meetings include discussions about STEM concepts surrounding everyday topics that the mentees can relate to. By participating in this program you are committing to attending all of these events.
