WHEN: July 22, 10am-1pm (bring your own picnic lunch at noon)

WHERE: Pelham Lake Park. We will meet at the beach parking lot on Town Park Rd in Rowe, MA. Taking the GPS route to the Rowe Parks Department will get you to the correct location. Please note that the beach parking and the parks department is on Town Park Rd even though it shows up as Pelham Drive. Pelham Drive is the street that is immediately next to Town Park Rd. Be sure to turn down Town Park Rd where you see the sign for Pelham Lake. We ask that if the parking lot is getting full you park across the street at Conway Elementary and walk over so that we can save space for town residents.

WHAT: On site, we will learn about the Forest Climate Resilience Program’s work with municipalities to implement Climate-Smart management strategies. We will tour sites of the future old growth enhancement area and discuss plans to increase forest stocking via planting.

BRING: Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and bring what you need to feel comfortable on the trail. For those staying after to connect over lunch, please bring your picnic lunch and water bottle so we can enjoy lunch by the lake. Restrooms are available by the lake.
