Childcare is often expensive, so when the Guilford County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics (GCPFFP,) learned parents in Emergency Services were paying full fees to hold their children's spots at closed daycares, we started looking for a solution. As the price of household items climbs during the economic disruption of the pandemic, we want to come to a solution to help our providers in financial strain. Benefits that allow our Paramedics, EMT’s and Fire Fighters to care, feed, and otherwise provide for their loved ones are paramount, and allow our providers to direct their full focus and energy to serving our community.

How will my response data be used?

We will analyze this data to determine the scope of the problem and how many it affects. Then, we'll research the financial states of the named daycares - understanding that some may be charging fees to maintain their operation in order to resume when the time is right. Many day care workers have been furloughed or terminated, and some businesses may apply for and be granted federal aid. We want to have all the facts before we make a conclusion.

Then, where possible, we'll work with the Guilford County Board of Commissioners, area businesses, and through charitable funds to come to a resolution. We may involve social media and news. This survey offers options as to how your data is released.

We'll safeguard your data in the google cloud, in an account secured with two-factor authentication.Only the President, Secretary /Treasurer, and Vice President of our organization have access to this account.

As our work progresses, we'll contact those who provide us their data and contact information.
