The Cabarrus Arts Council has invited Local Artist and Community Art Advocate, TuxedoKat, to curate The Galleries in The Historic Courthouse in Downtown Concord May 18 - July 22, 2023. TuxedoKat plans to showcase and celebrate the wide variety of creatives in Cabarrus County in her show titled "LIMINAL: The Space Between".
The word liminal describes a "threshold", a space between what was and what will be, the now resting between the past and future. As Historic Downtown Concord undergoes an unprecedented amount of construction, it finds itself between the Concord that once was and the Concord yet to be. It is the intention of "LIMINAL" to celebrate the expressions of our community and culture that are here NOW, in this space between.
Join TuxedoKat in being a part of the "new" Concord history!
