Belmopan Humane Society: Foster Home Registration
Welcome & Thank You for your interest in fostering through the Belmopan Humane Society!

Pets to be fostered have been rescued from unfortunate situations.
BHS Board Members & Volunteers are their hope to help them become happy and healthy again.

Before any pets can be adopted out through BHS, they must be:
Spayed or neutered
Up-to-date on their vaccinations
Dewormed
Flea & tick free

Fosters help us to ensure that animals have the opportunity to receive all the above treatment as well as socializing the animal.  BHS will work alongside our volunteer fosters to ensure the safety of you, your family, any resident animals and of course, the animal to be fostered in this process. All pets have to be fostered prior to becoming available for adoption.  This helps us to learn more about their personalities in order to improve placement in a compatible home.  It may also involve some medical treatment as part of their recovery process if needed.

The foster animal is not to be tied or restrained in a cage for any long periods of time, not to exceed a few hours in a day. You must be able to protect your foster from fleas and ticks.   BHS can assist with the supplies needed.
