WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A GREEN LEADER IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
Being green not only means being responsible in working toward sustainability; it can also save you money.
In addition, the public awareness of green initiatives and the need for green business and private practices is growing. Therefore Galena Country visitors are expecting to see businesses engaged in these initiatives, including any local recognition for complying with and going beyond local green initiatives.

The award of a Galena Country Green Designation will be very attractive to the green community when included in marketing programs, making sense of expectations to bring in more revenue by bringing in more business.

PLEASE READ THE CRITERIA BELOW.
To be a part of the Green Restaurant initiative, you must complete #1-5. Then choose 10 additional criteria from the remaining list.

Complete the application below answering how you have achieved these green practices. When finished, click ‘Submit.’ The Galena Country Green Designation Committee will review applications on a monthly basis and might ask for a site visit to view your green practices. If approved, your restaurant business will:
• Receive a window appliqué to be displayed at your property.
• Receive a logo you can display on your website, social media and e-mail correspondence.
• Be recognized with an icon by your listing on VisitGalena.org (and Galena Area Chamber of Commerce website-members only) for achieving the Green Restaurant designation.
 
The Green Restaurant designation must be renewed annually.

The Green Restaurant initiative was developed by the Galena Country Green Designation Committee, a committee of tourism, government and restaurant representatives. It is primarily based on criteria from the My Green Galena Pledge and TripAdvisor GreenLeader programs.
