WAG participants Summer 2022-Spring 2023:
I would like to compile some of the accomplishments faculty and staff have made, in their writing productivity, during our Writing Accountability Groups. My purpose is two-fold: 1) I would like to flesh out and substantiate the quantitative Kirkpatrick data we rely on for annual professional development reports with meaningful testimonies that show the value of writing groups, and 2) I would like to share this productivity at our first-ever TILT/WAC Summer Writing Retreat, as well as share it up the line to the Provost.
If you would, please share any of the "things" you have made progress on, as a result of participating in one or more writing group, between Summer 2022-Spring 2023.
Thank you for your time submitting these accomplishments! Here are some examples, from emails I have received from WAG participants so far, for ideas:
- conference proposals, slides, etc.
- journal articles
- book and chapter manuscripts
- book reviews, forwards, etc.
- fiction writing: poetry, novels, short stories
- communications for an association you chair
- grant proposals
- content for a site you manage
- coding for qualitative work
- formatting or reformatting diagrams, charts, figures
- letters to a newspaper editor, speaking out on behalf of something important for the community
- assignment prompts and rubrics
