Deep Listening to Ourselves: Cultivating your Inner Compass Interest Form

An offering by Marilou Chanrasmi

I am called to create a movement of  fellow travelers in this world committed to returning to our ancestral ways of Being, of Balance, of Benevolence.

I am committed to creating and holding safe and brave spaces where wounded parts of
ourselves can be seen, heard and held, and where we can collectively and lovingly support each
other and make room for healing, joy and aliveness.

The questions I often ask myself are ....

  • How can we CARE for another if we are unable to CARE for ourselves?

  • How can we LISTEN to another if we are unable to LISTEN to ourselves?

  • How can we BE with another if we are unable to BE with ourselves?

  • How can we individually and collectively create more spaces of healing, wholeness and equity?

It is my intention to share my life’s learnings and practices, and to cultivate an expanding circle of individuals who are ….

  • Committed to learning and embodying deep listening skills and practices for the sake of creating spaces for wholeness, healing and equity

  • Committed to learning, experiencing, practicing, receiving and giving with their whole being (mind, body, heart and spirit)

  • A willingness to journey inward and explore their own internal landscape and how it shapes how they show up in the world

  • A willingness to push themselves outside their comfort zones

  • A willingness to intentionally create space for slowing down and reflecting, and a willingness to softly and fiercely stay even when old habits and patterns ask you to run, or shut down, or lash out.

  • A willingness to sit with an open heart in the uncertainty and discomfort of holding complexities

This offering may be repeated as many times as you would like, as each offering, each circle is unique and different. There are foundational elements to every offering, however, the depth, transformation and aliveness of each circle is shaped by the life experiences of the participants and the sharing of individual stories in the sacred container of our collective circle.

My offering is to create and hold space for circles centering Deep Listening to Ourselves: Cultivating your Inner Compass. This will be a five (5) session (1.5 hours held on the following Wednesdays: 4/3, 4/17, 5/1, 5/15 and 5/29) experiential journey that invites you to bring all of you and to incorporate various mindful and embodied practices into your daily life for the sake of sustained and transformative change. The sessions will be held via Zoom. Our journey together will be wrapped in listening circles, embodied and mindful practices, ways of being that center Presence, deep and authentic connections with ourselves and each other, and reflections on the role of Nature as our teacher on Being, Balance and Benevolence.

We will explore the art and practice of deep listening as a way of being, knowing and navigating uncertain, stressful and chaotic times, and as a way of learning to listen to what is asking to come alive, and of connecting deeply with ourselves and all living beings. We will participate in Listening Circles centering questions that invite us to be curious as we navigate unfamiliar terrain, while remaining rooted and grounded as we learn to calibrate our Inner Compass.

The offering will be limited to 12 participants to allow for relationship and trust building. The first session will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 (5:30 - 7:00 pm CT). We will meet bi-weekly on the following Wednesdays - 4/3, 5/1, 5/15 and 5/29.

Sliding Scale Fee: $150-$200 for all 5 sessions.

Scholarships: I am offering 2 scholarships for this workshop where my ask of you is to contribute whatever amount you are able to ... a question regarding the need for scholarship assistance is in the form.

My Ask of you:

In an effort to ensure we create a circle that brings in diverse voices, energy and perspectives, my request is for you to complete the following Questionnaire to allow me to get a glimpse into who you are and why this calls to you.

Questionnaires are due by March 29, 2024.

How do I know if this is a good fit for me?

  • Time Commitment. I am able to commit to the following:

    • At least 4 of the 5 sessions

    • A daily mindfulness and/or embodied practice of 15 minutes/day (we will cover this in the first session)

  • Readiness.

    • A readiness and openness to experiencing new ways of learning, being, feeling and sensing

    • A readiness to let go of old habits and ways of being that are no longer serving me, and to open myself up to that which is asking to come alive

    • A readiness in my life for deep, sustained and transformative change
