Phys 436 iClicker Attendance -- Opt In or Out?
Please fill out this form to choose whether you would like to Opt In or Opt Out of the Phys 436 iClicker attendance policy. Here's how this will work:

If you Opt In, you can receive up to 10% of the total points in Phys 436 by attending the lectures. Attendance will be taken by using your iClicker, which you can use to check in any time during class. Your lowest attendance score will be dropped, i.e., you can still miss one class without penalty. Be sure to register your iClicker in the gradebook.

If you Opt Out, attendance will not be used to compute your grade. Your final grade in the course will be prorated from Exams, Homework, and Discussions. Lecture is optional, though of course I hope you still attend.

I will post my lecture notes online every week. During class I will sometimes drop exam hints, add impromptu explanations of topics people find confusing, etc. No record of this information will be available.

- Attendance will be taken starting Fri., Jan. 31.

- Please register your iCliker using the links in the student gradebook.

- You will need to sign in with a Gmail account to respond to this poll. This allows you to go back and change your answer. It does not give me access to any info about you other than the answers you give.

- The poll will close on Thursday, Jan. 30, after which your decision is final. Anyone who has not responded by then will be taken to have Opted Out.

- You can change your answer as many times as you want until Jan. 30.

- Checking in using someone else's iClicker is an academic integrity violation that would, unfortunately, have to be treated as cheating. So don't do it.
