Identifying local flow of materials
We want to understand the availability of valuable materials for creative reuse. For this, we need our help in two ways:
Cite at least three items or goods in your house/work which weren't yet discarded but are usefulness and occupying some space. It could be valuable or disposable, toxic or not.
In case you know, cite five types of materials with the major volume of waste in your city. In case you have a reference for get this information, copy us the link.
Identifying local capacities
Also, we want to understand who could be new actors in urban waste, with the adoption of creative reuse practices. For this, we have two questions:
Nearby your home/work, do you know any upcycling centre, recycling centre or workshop which collects and/or transform materials? In case yes, tell us a little about what does this facility do.
How can you describe the people who work with waste materials in your city? For example, are they professionals? Formal or informal workers? Independents or collectives?
Collecting upcycling and reuse centres or initiatives
We know that exists some upcycling and reuse centres and initiative around the world. Some of them work as storage and exchange facilities, or community workshops. Our session wants to discuss the optimal configuration and scale of centres like that. For this, one more (and last) question:
Do you know some upcycling centre or initiative, (not necessarily in your city or country) that you can refer us the name or website?
Thanks a lot for your time!
I hope you to be in our discussion session. Feel free to contact me in case you have any doubt about questions.
