We are pleased to offer your child the opportunity to participate in the SAINTS Before & After School Club.    We offer the club as a service to our parents and provide the care at St. Mary's School at reasonable rates.  Please read through the information carefully as our club guidelines have changed to meet public health guidelines to reduce COVID-19 transmission.  Club services are available for Stage 1 and 2 only.   Please note that changes may occur during the year, depending on the Provincial Health Officer's information.

SAINTS Before School Club is open Monday through Friday, from 7:30-8:30 am.  (Exceptions include school holidays and professional days.)

SAINTS After School Club is open Monday through Friday, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.  (Exceptions include school holidays and professional days.)

The club is an academic intervention designed to offer your child extra support with homework, literacy, math, and incorporates enrichment activities such as physical education and art.  As well as structured activities, there is plenty of time to have fun and play with friends.   The children will have access to computers, equipment, games, and books.  Students should bring a healthy, nutritious snack provided from home.  

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures:
Students are required to stay home when sick.  Parents must assess their child daily for symptoms of COVID-19.  If any student has even mild symptoms, arrangements will be made for that child to return home.  Students are required to clean their hands frequently, including before coming to school, cover their faces when they cough/sneeze, and not share food or equipment.  As students in the club are typically not in the same cohort/learning group, they will practice physical distancing. Mask use is not mandatory at this time, but students and staff may choose to wear a mask.  Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of equipment and seating will take place daily.

Club Location/Drop Off & Pick Up:
Before School Club is located in the Library Monday-Friday, press the Library button at the main school door, and a staff member will greet you and your child to complete a daily health check before entering the school.   Students can make their way upstairs to the Library at the top of the stairs.  

After School Club will be run in the Grade Two classroom downstairs by the gym, Monday-Friday.  Please press the button beside the gym door to notify the staff of your arrival.  Parents will be greeted at the entrance door to sign out their child.

Rates:  
Before School Club only $10.00 per day from 7:30-8:30 am
After School Club only $15.00 per day from 3:00-6:00 pm
Before & After School Club (same day) $20.00
More than one child: $5 less per day for the second or third child

Payment Policy:  Please make cheques payable to St. Mary's School. We prefer booking to be done on a pre-pay monthly basis. If the payment declines, the school will provide families with seven days grace to make their payment.  If, after seven days your payment still has not been made then the service will be withdrawn. We can provide a letter for income tax purposes in February.  If your schedule changes frequently, we prefer one cheque at the end of the month.

Staff & Safety:  SAINTS Before & After School Club's staff are trained in first aid and EpiPen administration.  Our team provides your children with a safe, happy, and caring place to be.  

Attendance Policy:  
•    Students will only be released to a parent or guardian, or adult with written permission from the parent/guardian.  
•    Parents/Guardians must notify the school of the need for early release, and the students' departure time must be noted in the "sign out" sheet on the day the child is released early.
•    Changing or Cancelling Bookings:  You need to provide three days' notice to cancel your bookings entirely without charge.  Please email asc@stmary.bc.ca only with your requests.
•    Fees are required regardless of a child's possible absence due to illness as your child's space is reserved for him/her.
•    Drop-ins may be allowed subject to space availability.  Please email asc@stmary.bc.ca  in the morning to notify us of the drop-in by noon.  We have a drop-in form to be submitted with payment for your convenience.
•    Late Collection:  Children collected after the closing time will be charged $5.00 per child per minute that you are late.

Please complete the Google Enrollment Form if you wish to enroll your child in the SAINTS Before & After School Club this month.   We require one google form per child. However, one cheque per family is acceptable. Kindly return the cheque to St. Mary's School in an envelope labeled "SAINTS Before & After School Club." We will process enrollment forms on a first-come-first-served basis.
