My name is Jodie Zerafa, and I am currently reading for a Bachelor in Psychology (Honours) at the University of Malta. In partial fulfilment of the course, I am conducting a research study titled "The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Teachers in the Maltese Context", under the supervision of Dr. Marilyn Muscat. The aim of this study is to explore the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on our State Schools educators, in their professional roles, personal lives and psychological wellbeing.

If you are a State School teacher, based in a Primary, Middle or Secondary school in Malta, your participation in my research would be highly appreciated. This would involve answering the following questionnaire consisting of 19 questions, that should not take more than 15 minutes to complete. Data collected will be completely anonymous and treated with utmost confidentiality. Only my supervisor, the board of examiners and I will have access to the data gathered from this questionnaire used solely for the purpose of this study.

Participation is on a voluntary basis; in other words, you are free to accept or refuse to participate, without needing to give a reason. You are also free to withdraw from the study at any time, without needing to provide any explanation. Should you choose to withdraw in the process of filling in the questionnaire that is not yet submitted, any questions answered will be automatically erased.

If you choose to participate, please note that there are no direct benefits to you. Your participation does not entail any known or anticipated risks. Please note also that once the answers have been submitted, it will be practically impossible to retrieve and modify/delete them because they are anonymised at the source. All data collected will be erased within 6 months of completion of the study.
