Much like other projects in 4-H, the Engineering Design Challenge (EDC) can bring youth from different clubs together to form a team.  Typically, the coaches will bring the groups together once we know who is interested. At that time, it's decided how often and where to meet.  

Participants are 4-H members who completed grades third through eighth grades (Level 1) and seventh grade and above (Level 2) by the end of the 2023-2024 school year.  Every county team must have two adult volunteer leaders who are screened Minnesota 4-H volunteers.  Family teams are coached by parents and guardians that do not have to be screened volunteers.

Challenge teams are invited to showcase their machine and project at their local county fair, August 3 - 11.
