Summer Educator
The Summer Institute for Teaching and Learning (SITL) is a full-time eight-week summer program open to Georgetown undergraduate and graduate students who are looking for a meaningful experience working in a classroom setting, and have a deep interest in urban education, teaching, or social justice. SITL partners with a DC Public School summer school program to reduce summer learning loss and provide enrichment opportunities to underserved youth in DC. Our SITL participants are placed in one DC public elementary school classroom within Ward 7 or Ward 8 in Washington DC to work as a summer educator. Free summer housing is available for Georgetown undergraduate students.

SITL is a program of the Center for Social Justice.
