About
This intermediate-level electronic music course, taught by Warren Burt, a veteran in the field with over 50 years of experience, covers four significant topics: Virtual Analog Synthesis, Microtonality in electronic music, Music Concrete and Environmental Music, and Ableton Live and Algorithmic Composition. The course is suitable for those with some experience with music technology and aims to develop your listening skills and powers of sonic concentration. Join us to deepen your technical and aesthetic knowledge of technological music and expand your expertise in electronic music production!


Attendance
This course is held online via Zoom and is open to participants aged 18+. Three sessions in Week 1 (Sunday, June 18), Week 7 (Sunday, July 30) and Week 13 (Sunday, September 10) will be at MESS, both on Zoom and in-person for people in the Melbourne area.

Fee Free Places
We are happy to offer 2 fully subsidised scholarship placements open to individuals with limited funds for whom the course fees represent a significant financial challenge. Please indicate in the form below if you wish to be considered for one of these 2 placements.
