Please complete the following questions to apply for the Director of Communications position on the Non Profit Youth Leadership Network Board of Directors.
The Non-Profit Youth Leadership Network connects the next generation of non-profit leaders with each other, as well as give them the tools to work towards their dream roles.Must be aged 16-29. The term is for two years, with an additional 1 year option as approved by the Board of Directors. Commitment is approx. 5-10 hours per month.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and responds to all inquiries sent to the general NPYLN email accounts
- Develops and sends bi-weekly emails/newsletters to the network members
- Facilitates strong communication with the network members through Slack and other mediums
- Works closely with the Communications Assistant to ensure all communications are sent in a timely manner
- Sends out promotional materials on behalf of partnered organizations or the NPYLN
- Responsible for monthly budgetary updates relating to communication and engagement
Skills and Experience:
- Organizational skills
- Time management
- Knowledge of MailChimp an asset
- Great leadership and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently to get tasks accomplished
- Passion for youth engagement
