2024-2025 Melbourne Colorguard Registration Form
Please complete all parts of this questionnaire to register for our 2024-2025 Colorguard Team.  

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!  Any experience in dance, cheer, and gymnastics is great, but not required.  We will teach everyone basics in dance and spinning a flag and rifle.  

The Melbourne Colorguard focuses on the visual enhancement of music through dance, flags, rifles, and sabres.  It is is a GREAT activity to join!  You will make great friends and memories all while being involved in one of the largest organizations at Melbourne H.S - The Pride of Mel-High Marching Band.  After football season, we also compete as a winter guard, traveling to state and national level competitions across Central and North Florida. 

We have a long history of earning top ratings at county events and are the top performing colorguard in Brevard County.  2023-2024 team accomplishments include Superior ratings at all marching band events and our Varsity team coming in 4th place in their division at State Championships

Team performances and experiences include the following: performing at halftime during football games with The Pride of Mel High Marching Band, pep rallies for home football games, marching band competitions, community parades, and traveling to winter guard competitions across Central and North Florida (including state championships in Daytona Beach). 

We will be having an information meeting on Tuesday, April 16th at 6:00 pm at the Melbourne HS Band Room (located to the right of the auditorium, parking in the lot on the corner of Bulldog and Apollo)

We will be holding a 4 audition clinic days for anyone that would like to be considered for membership on our team.  We will be learning new stuff on each day, so students should attend all 4 days.  Please let Ms. Vasquez know if you have a conflict and would need to miss a day.  Our audition clinic will take place April 30th, May 2nd, May 7th, and May 9th from 4:30-7:00 at the Melbourne HS Band Room.  Students should arrive in athletic wear and bring water.
