Crunch is a practice done by some companies that require employees to work overtime in order to meet a deadline of a game, its often unpaid.

Rockstar Games are known for intense Crunch, making employees work "100 hour weeks"
Activision were in a lawsuit from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing due to Alleged Sexual Harrasment which caused employees who spoke out about it to be fired and a female employee comitting suicide due to the conditions.
Epic Games have layed off and left 930 of their employees due to their poor financial decisions and greediness, intense crunch on employees too
Quantic Dream 3d modelled a woman nude without her consent and their lead writer is a sexist and homophobic person.
Netherrealm Caused an animator to get PTSD after requiring them to look at real gore for reference in their games.
Nintendos Playtesters faced sexual harrasement from the employees and no action was taken.
EA is known well for their Intense crunch. A Division of EA, Bioware, called making their employees work extreme overtime "magic"
telltale werent making a profit from their games and due to the Higher Ups making terrible decisions, caused the company to file for bankruptcy in 2018 and left all 250 of its employees without jobs, no severance pay or health insurance.
