RESILIENCE ROADSHOW: Building a Trauma Informed Community
Please register below for this FREE virtual training being offered on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 11:30-1:00 pm by the Trauma-Informed Hampshire County Network.
Please complete a separate registration for each person in your group or organization who is planning to attend.
Resilience Roadshow is a 90-minute training designed to support civic and faith-based organizations, libraries, schools (especially non-teaching staff), businesses, municipal boards and departments, health and human service agencies, and other community organizations in better understanding the impact of trauma and how they can address it.
The impact of chronic stress and traumatic experiences, especially those that occur during childhood, can have devastating and lifelong consequences for health, mental health, and substance use. While “trauma-informed” approaches are now widely accepted in health care, the uncertainty and loss associated with COVID-19 and its aftermath remind us that a broader understanding is essential to supporting safe, healthy, and diverse communities.
Individuals who complete the training may request that the Resilience Roadshow be offered specifically for their organization or may host a community event. Trainers from Trauma-Informed Hampshire County and any curriculum materials will be available at no cost to the hosting organization.
