Rabata Halaqa Interest Form for a 2025 Start
Welcome! We are so happy you have decided to show interest in beginning your spiritual journey as a Padawan.  (A Padawan is a student of Anse Dr. Tamara Gray who is taking preliminary classes with one of Anse Dr. Tamara Gray's students). 

Halaqa is free and will take place on Zoom (online), one hour per week for an average of three times per month throughout the year. 

Enrollment opens annually October 1-31st. You will be emailed nearer the time to remind you to enroll.

The Halaqa system: The Halaqa system is modeled with the Hadith of Jibrīl in mind. 

- Padawan: Step one on the path, we consider this to be the stage of Islam and expect it to last about one year.
- Jedi: Step two, we consider this to be the stage of Iman and expect it to last a number of years. 
- Jedi Knight: Step three, this is training to be a halaqa leader and it lasts one year. 
- Jedi Master: Step four, this is stepping into the role of halaqa leader - we consider this the stage of Ihsan. 

Of course none of these stages are quite so neat and tidy, but they represent a progressive movement of growth. 

Enrollment will open yearly on the 1st of October and close on the 31st of October.
