The Conservation Seed Program helps seed companies distribute outdated (approximately 1 year old) commercial seed. The companies dispose of the surplus, treated seeds they can no longer sell by providing it to the NWTF with the caveat that the seed can only be used for conservation purposes. The seed cannot be used for agricultural purposes or for economic gain. NWTF Members have the opportunity to obtain the year old seed and plant for wildlife habitat when available. Please fill out form below to REQUEST seed.
Basic information to help complete this form follows. More details will be provided as you complete the various sections.
No money is due at this time. Information on payment options via Debit or Credit Card will be provided once the seed ships to Virginia. However, completing this form is a binding order for seed that you agree to honor by payment and picking up the seed at the location you select.
You must be a current NWTF member to participate in the program. You can join the NWTF online at
nwtf.org by paying your $35 annual membership fee. If you join online and have not received a member number required below, please email
cmccurdy@nwtf.net for assistance.
Seed will be available on a first come, first serve basis until supply is exhausted with a 30 bag maximum request. Don't wait too long, we will sell out! Cost per bag is $12 to cover transport and delivery to pickup locations.
You may forward this form to any Virginia member that would like to participate in the program. All participants must have a current adult membership with the NWTF.
