It’s that time of the year! The La Porte Park and Recreation Department is already gearing up for our youth 2024 sports seasons. Our programs are designed to strengthen the children of this community physically and mentally, develop character and social skills and learn to make positive life choices. We want to provide a great experience for these children in hopes that they will want to continue extracurricular activities as they continue to grow.
During the 2023 seasons, team sponsorship fees helped enable well over 700 boys and girls, (ages 5 through 18) in our community to participate in a worthwhile recreation experience. We anticipate that these participation counts will increase each year. All sponsorship fees go directly toward the purchase of team uniforms, equipment, staff fees, facility maintenance and other operational expenses. Team sponsorships are vital to the success of our programs and help us ensure they remain financially viable while still allowing our department to keep the individual player fees reasonable for parents.
The sponsorship fee for the 2024 season is $400 for a Boys Junior Baseball team; $275 per team for Boys Rookie, Minor and Major Baseball and Girls Slowpitch and Fastpitch Softball; and $150 for T-Ball. As a team sponsor, your business or organization’s name is printed on the player shirts and you will receive mention throughout the season on our website (www.laporteparkandrec.com), QuickScores (www.quickscores.com/laporte) and our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/laporteparks).
It is only through the financial support and cooperation of our community partners that the operation of our youth sports programs is possible.
