"Becoming You(th)" - Intersections | Cross-sections (IS|CS) 2023 Annual Graduate Conference and symposium, taking place in person on
Saturday, March 11th, 2023 at The TMU Creative School's Catalyst (Rogers Communication Centre
). Co-presented by the joint graduate program in Communication & Culture at Toronto Metropolitan & York University, we bring together graduate students, emerging scholars and artists from a diverse array of backgrounds. For more information about the conference, please visit our website at

This year, our Conference is a one-day, two-part event consisting of:
Intersections (9 am-4:45 pm)- An academic conference opening with a keynote presentation and workshop by TMU Creative School's Dr. Miranda Campbell, and 4 panels showcasing 17 graduate presentations surrounding our theme.
Cross-sections (5:30 pm-8 pm)- An evening social mixer and art symposium featuring a variety of youth-centric artwork/creative research, including film, photography, fashion & sound exhibits + a special live musical performance from emerging singer/songwriter and producer
