Scherbarth Residency Program
The Scherbarth Residency Program provides lodging and studio space to artists and makers in the visual, performing, and literary arts to participate in the creative community at Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts, and the rural community of Mineral Point, Wisconsin.

Residents are expected to:
1. Share their work in a public forum, which could include face-to-face models as well as social media.
2. Contribute stewardship hours to the Shake Rag Alley campus. This could include snow removal, maintenance of common areas, assisting staff with administrative tasks, and caring for our historic buildings.
3. Work on a project described in the application proposal.

Please email submissions@shakeragalley.org with a cover email and contact information. Attach a PDF with the following information in one document: 
1) your resume or CV (not to exceed 2 pages) 
2) Bio and Artist Statement: Please include social media links and website in your bio (not to exceed 1 page)
3) your Residency Proposal: Describe the work/project you will engage with while in residence, and how you would envision sharing your work in a public forum. Describe why the residency is important to you and how it will further your studio practice or development as an artist (not to exceed 2 pages)
4) names and contact information of two references
To send your Portfolio for the Scherbarth Residency, please use one of the following options to share:

Utilize links to SlideRoom, DropBox, or another external site, depending on file size. Portfolios must be either provided via links, or attachments utilizing the submissions@shakeragalley.org email. Be sure to use naming conventions when naming files.

a. Submit up to 10 images of the best representations of your current studio practice or what best represents your work. Please name your files using “firstname_lastname_1” and “firstname_lastname_2” (Upload images with a maximum of 1080 X 1920 72 dpi, and a minimum of 500 x 500 72 dpi.)

b. Video/sound recordings will also be considered. If submitting video or sound recordings, please upload a document with links only. The committee will access via the external host used by artist (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, etc.).

c. If submitting written work, please upload a single PDF of no more than 15 pages, named “firstname_lastname_writingsample”
