Summer School is EXTENDED CONTRACT work. Extended contracts are different from regular school year work. Summer School is optional and by applying, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Please read the following information carefully.
Classified staff: Pay will depend on the position you are applying for. Summer base salaries will match the published 2022-2023 salary schedule rate for the position worked during summer, plus the hourly incentive described below.
Certified staff will be paid at the per diem rate when teaching students and curriculum rate for prep-time, PD, staff meetings and family nights. You can find your per diem rate in Infinite Visions under “Pay/Tax Information” then “Employee Pay”.
We will schedule a Q & A session via zoom to answer questions from potential staff. Details TBD..
This year, due to ESSER funds, we will be able to continue to give staff an additional hourly incentive for working outside their contractual calendar.
$10.00 for Classified
$15.00 for Licensed
Incentive pay will start after the last day of when your regular school year contract ends thru the last day of Summer School.
Heritage/Valor - ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL DETAILS:
June 1st - Informational Night for hired staff.
Summer School employment will run from June 21st - July 22nd for staff.
June 21st-23rd – Staff PD Days
Evening of the June 22nd will be a Parent Orientation Night
Evening of July 20th will be the Summer School Culminating Showcase
Student contact days-June 26th -July 21st
July 4th will be a day off.
Monday – Friday hours are generally 7:30AM-12:45PM-Student contact plus .5 prep time in the morning. (Tentatively from 12:45 – 2:00 includes .5 non-paid lunch break and .5 hour of paid prep time which can be done at home.)
Some additional time is required on parent nights, set-up/orientation, clean-up, etc. By applying, you agree to work all days and times as indicated.
