Thank you for expressing interest in being a mentor with the IoES Green Shorts film contest!

The mentoring program is designed to give high school students guidance and science resources to help them develop their film ideas, as well as to build a personal connection with someone working in the sciences at a university and help them understand what studying environmental science can look like.

The following form has two parts:
- Some basic information and expectations
- A short survey that mentors and students will both take to help get to know each other

General Expectations

The general expectations of a mentor are to:

1. Keep up regular communication with the student to help develop ideas for their film.

2. Participate in the in-person mentoring event on campus in the Fall (exact date TBD).

3. Respond to some short surveys about your progress with the student and feedback on the mentoring experience.

We will be host a voluntary mentor orientation event at the start of the Fall quarter. Let us know if you have any material to share about remote mentoring or if you would like to help coordinate the orientation.
