Building Pathways: "GOOD INTENTIONS vs DOING GOOD"
The APADRC is hosting a community dialogues series called "Building Pathway." The series makes space for people from different communities to unpack the beliefs that drive the way we build our communities. Share and reflect on your own and others’ experiences. Everyone’s an expert on their own lives. The only requirement is a commitment to listen.
Up to 10 people will be chosen to speak in the dialogue, though you can Zoom in just to listen. We aim to have a diverse group of participants so that each dialogue will include and reflect different perspectives and experiences.
This month, we're focusing on COMMUNITY, and we'll be discussing GOOD INTENTIONS vs DOING GOOD. What happens when we try to do good in our communities, but our intentions don’t result in the outcomes we want? How should we respond when our intentions don’t yield good outcomes?
The dialogue will be held virtually through Zoom on February 24, 2021 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm (Pacific Time).
If you're interested in speaking or listening during the dialogue, please fill out this form. NOTE: We ask you to disclose information about yourself for the purpose of putting together diverse groups for the dialogue, but your responses will be kept CONFIDENTIAL.
