IDEAHL: Co-creation workshops with policymakers
Improving Digital Empowerment for Active Healthy Living (IDEAHL), funded by the Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission, is a project developing a comprehensive and inclusive EU strategy for improving (digital) health literacy. It includes the formulation of dHL-promoting policies, the recommendation and testing of dHL-strengthening interventions, and the monitoring of valid indicators across Europe.

On June 5 and 12, 2023 the Central European Initiative is organizing two online co-creation workshops with policymakers to provide ideas, experiences and good practices on (d)HL to contribute to the construction of the IDEAHL Strategy. Thanks to the involvement of policymakers, representatives of national and regional authorities and other organizations across Europe the workshops will provide precious information on barriers and challenges encountered in the development and implementation of policies and initiatives fostering dHL, as wells as on potential interventions to foster (d)HL related to health promotiondisease prevention, and treatment & self-care.

The final outcome of these activities should help empower EU citizens in using digital tools to play a more active role in managing their own health and well-being— fostering innovation for person-centred care models.
