Committee Volunteer Interest Form
Serving on a committee is a great way to get to become involved with the Michigan Council for Exceptional Children (MCEC) and begin to build relationships and connections with Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) members across the state and nation. MCEC has five committees whose primary purpose is to support various functions of our MCEC Board: Legislative Action/Advocacy, Membership/Communications, Professional Development, Finance and Recognition & Scholarship. Committee meetings are scheduled by the committee chair and meet minimally every month.
Your application will be reviewed by the committee chair and subject to approval by the President. All committee members are expected to be active members of CEC. MCEC strives to ensure all committees are balanced based on ethnicity, gender, state geographical area, disability, and professional position.
