Do you know a community member or organization whose contributions and actions exemplify the ideas of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.? In the spirit of Dr. King, Pathfinders are initiators or action takers in the struggle for equal treatment, human rights and non-violence. The Pathfinder Awards represent the ideal that all people should be treated fairly and equally without the fear of discrimination on any basis.
- Nominations are reviewed annually and awarded at the GMDC Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration.
- Nominees must be located in the Greater Mankato-North Mankato area.
- Nominations should be submitted by December 20th, 2023 in order to be evaluated for the January awards.
- Nominations received after the December 20th deadline will be collected and evaluated for the following calendar year.
The Pathfinder Award Committee may contact the nominee, nominator, or others to obtain additional information as needed. All information included in the nomination or obtained at a later date, may be used for promotion of this award.
