Jenna is the 19 year old daughter of Tommy & Karen Upshaw. She is a 2021 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and will be a sophomore at Murray State University. In the fall, Jenna will be returning to Murray State University to pursue her degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in Social Studies and English. In the upcoming semester, Jenna plans to expand her passion for involvement and find new ways to get involved on campus. She plans to graduate in 2025 with honors. Growing up in the Mt. Vernon School district, Jenna felt her teachers not only cared about her as a student, but also as a person. Jenna’s ultimate goal is to return the favor, and help educate the next generation of students in Posey County.

Jenna graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 2021. Throughout her time there, Jenna played two varsity sports and participated in a variety of clubs and organizations. Outside of school, Jenna was a proud 10 year member of Posey County 4-H where she enjoyed showing sheep and cattle. After graduating with honors, Jenna began her college career at Murray State University where she has continued to be involved while earning a spot on the Dean’s list for both the fall and spring semesters. She has participated in numerous intramural sports teams for her residential college and joined a freshman family group through the campus ministry. This coming August, Jenna will be working as a First Year Leader to assist with welcome week activities for new students. But until then, you can find Jenna working as a waitress at Hawg ‘N’ Sauce.
