Gerda’s Equine Rescue (GER) requires all adoption applications be submitted with:
photographs of the facility where the GER horse will be kept (please include pictures of pastures,
fencing, barn, stalls, and any other equine).
GER may request additional information or pictures to complete its review and may require a visit to
your facility before your application is approved.
*Please keep in mind that when you are adopting a rescue horse you are making a commitment for the
remainder of its life. Typically, horses that are well cared for can live to be 30+ years.
* Although this
might seem like a subjective process please understand that we do this with everyone’s best interests
in mind. We are committed to making the best possible match for both horse and adopter. This means
we do not adopt horses on a first come, first serve basis. Suitability is of the utmost importance in
placing our horses; therefore we reserve the right to refuse any application.
